Please, oh please, let me win...

There is a giveaway going on at Oh My! Handmade Goodness, and I can't even begin to say how much I want to win.

They are giving away a whole bunch of personalized items like stationery, art prints, etc. Even if I don't win, I will absolutely be buying some things to put in Jboy's room when we re-do it.

So... go check it out... but don't win! ;o)

super cool!

I love getting magazines in the mail. Heck, anything that's not a bill or junk mail is pretty great in my opinion. One magazine that I subscribe to is Parenting. This evening I was perusing the newest issue & came upon an ad for these super cool silicon trays that can be used for ice, brownies, JELLO & things like that. There was a website listed where they could be purchased so I checked it out. It's called Spoon Sisters and they have some of the coolest things I've ever seen.

Check these out:

Alphabet, Number and Symbol Ice Trays

Wouldn't these be fun to make, well, anything in? Love them.

Match & Munch Sandwich Cutters

Seriously?! We'll be buying these ASAP. How fun is that! I know Jboy would love it.

Constructive Eating Utensils

Jboy loves anything and everything vehicle related so I know he'd get a kick out of these.

Comic Book Bandages

As many cuts & scrapes as little boys get, bandages are a neccesity. Might as well have fun with your boo boos.
There are so many cute things on the Spoon Sisters site. Go check it out & let me know what you'd get.

Snow 2010 v2.0

For the second time in as many months it snowed down here in the South. Unlike last month, where we only got about an inch, there was probably 4-5 inches on the ground! It started snowing at around 2pm & didn't stop until well after dark. Of course we had to get out in it & play. I have to say it was much more fun this time around.

Here's Jboy doing his best penquin impersonation. He has the best imagination & I love watching him pretend. Notice you can't even see his feet!

I don't know the last time (ever?) I built a snow man. This is more like a snow toddler. Leftover Halloween candy came in handy as the eyes & nose for our little guy. As did the cowboy hat Jboy got at the Fall Festival we went to in October.

No, he's not about to eat the snow. He's about to throw it at his mommy. :o)

Even though it get's a little crazy down here in the South when it snows, it's so beautiful. I wouldn't mind for it to happen another time or two before winter's over.

sweet boy

Jboy has been a little sickly the past few days. Friday morning he woke up & got a little sick. We thought it was just a fluke because he was fine the rest of the day. Fast forward to that evening & we'd gone out to rent a movie & pick up a pizza. Just as we pulled into the parking lot, he got sick again. :o( Unfortunately we weren't very prepared for such an event. I had no bags, no wipes, no anything. Thankfully we were in the Kroger parking lot so Chris was able to run in to at least get some supplies.

He got sick a few more times that night & wound up sleeping on the couch. Chris & took shifts to be with him, but he didn't get sick again after about 11:45 or so. Saturday he got sick a few more times, but after the 5:30 episode he seemed pretty okay. Chris & I are super paranoid & ask him repeatedly how he's feeling. I think we're getting on his nerves. LOL

Chris went to church this morning & I kept Jboy at home, just in case. He hadn't run a fever throughout the whole ordeal, but still. He's been fine all day & actually ate some real food & played with his cars. I think he hit a wall though, because he climbed up next to me on the couch at around 11:20 & fell asleep for about an hour. Sweet boy must've worn himself out. He looked so sweet I had to take a couple of pictures.

Here's hoping that he stays well.

Simple Pleasures

What are your "simple pleasures"? You know, things that don't cost alot of money, but bring you joy. Kelly posted her list today yesterday and I thought I'd play along...

Here are some of my simple pleasures:

* chocolate milkshakes from Chick-fil-a
* holding hands with my husband
* hot baths with a good book
* leaves burning
* a cool day after a heat wave
* Jonathan's hair after waking up
* my Blackberry ;o)
* sticking my toes in the sand at the beach (it's been way too long)
* blasting music on the radio & singing along at the top of my lungs
* playing oldies music with the windows down on a beautiful spring day

What do you consider to be your simple pleasures? If you post yours, leave a comment so I can check it out.
